TUI Fly to end operations from Antwerp Airport in 2027

TUI Fly will end all flight operations from Antwerp International Airport (ANR) in Deurne at the end of March 2027, bringing to a close 12 years of services from the airport, Flightlevel reports. The head office in Germany made this decision on Monday evening. The move is part of the airline’s strategy to further concentrate its Belgian operations at Brussels Airport while maintaining its presence at Ostend-Bruges Airport.

The news is bad news for the airport, as it’s under increasing scrutiny regarding its existence.

The airline currently serves four destinations from Antwerp: Tenerife, Málaga, Alicante, and Palma de Mallorca. During the 2026-27 winter season, flights to Alicante and Málaga will continue to operate. However, with the start of the 2027 summer schedule at the end of March, all services from Antwerp will be discontinued.

TUI fly said the decision reflects its ongoing consolidation of operations in Brussels. At the same time, the airline will continue operating flights from Ostend-Bruges Airport, where its three Embraer E195-E2 aircraft will remain active alongside services from Brussels.

Antwerp becomes the third regional airport in Belgium to lose TUI Fly services in recent years. The airline withdrew from Charleroi Airport during the 2022-23 winter season, followed by the end of its operations from Liège Airport earlier this year.

The withdrawal means Antwerp Airport will lose another scheduled airline, leaving fewer options for travellers departing from the city’s airport. Passengers wishing to fly with TUI Fly after March 2027 will instead need to use Brussels Airport or Ostend-Bruges Airport.
