Antwerp Pride 2026 parade route (parcours)

2026 marks the nineteenth (19th) edition of Antwerp Pride. From Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August, Antwerp in Belgium will once again be taken over by rainbow vibes. Prides are a mix of celebration – parties – and activism and advocacy. For the 2026 edition, the organising committee focuses on fearing less and being fearless.

The Antwerp Pride Parade will once again take to the streets of the city as the centrepiece of this year’s Antwerp Pride celebrations, combining a festive atmosphere with a strong political message. Organisers say the annual parade remains first and foremost a form of protest, highlighting concerns that the rights of LGBTQIA+ people and other minority groups are increasingly coming under pressure.

The route is (almost) the same as previous years

Thousands of participants, including volunteers, civil society organisations, community groups, partners and allies, are expected to march through Antwerp. The parade will set off at 14:00 and head towards the Scheldt Quays near Brouwersvliet before following the river to Sint-Jansvliet. From there, the procession will continue along Kloosterstraat, passing the statue of Peter the Great, before turning onto Scheldestraat and finishing at the Love United Festival site on the Ledeganckkaai.

Organisers are encouraging spectators to spread out along the entire route rather than gathering in a single location, saying there will be good viewing opportunities throughout the city and plenty of chances to cheer on the participating floats and groups.

Parade to be broadcast live

As in previous years, the Antwerp Pride Parade will be broadcast live, allowing people to follow the event remotely. The live coverage is being produced in collaboration with Proximus and will be available free of charge through Proximus Showcase, ATV, VRT Max, VTM GO, GoPlay, HLN Live, Qmusic, GVA.be and several other media partners.

The main television cameras will be positioned near the Sint-Annatunnel pedestrian entrance at Sint-Jansvliet, where the parade leaves the Scheldt Quays and turns into Kloosterstraat.

Advice for participants who do not wish to appear on camera

Antwerp Pride has also issued guidance for participants who do not want to be filmed during the live broadcast. It advises marchers to make themselves unrecognisable when passing the camera position or to briefly leave the parade before rejoining it after the filming zone on Kloosterstraat. The designated broadcast area will be clearly marked on the official parade map.

The organisation also notes that, in addition to the official broadcast, several news crews traditionally film the parade from different locations throughout the city. Participants who prefer not to appear on camera are encouraged to inform journalists and camera operators, who organisers say are generally understanding of such requests.
