FIFA WORLD CUP 2026  | Brussels Airlines teases Spain by sending the Red Devils Trident ahead of Belgium quarter-final

Brussels Airlines will this week send its Trident aircraft, decorated in the colors of the national football team, only to Spain, Belga reports. Friday evening, Belgium and Spain meet in the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup football (soccer).

Usually, this aircraft serves many destinations across Europe. In a somewhat provocative wink, the airline has decided to send it only to Spain from Tuesday through Friday inclusive. It will connect Brussels Airport to Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, and Alicante.

A first Trident, in the colours of the Red Devils (men’s team) alone, was operated between 2016 and 2022. A new version paying tribute to both the men’s and women’s (Red Flames) teams replaced it four years ago. The aircraft, a red Airbus A320 with a darker tail, is adorned with a trident blending into a flame, a mix of the logos of the two national teams.
