Brussels Airlines introduces new amenity kits on long-haul flights. As of mid-November, Business Class passengers will receive a luxurious pouch by world-renowned designer Diane von Furstenberg. â With this partnership, Brussels Airlines elevates its premium offering even further, offering passengers unique collectorsâ items.
Diane von Furstenberg is a Belgian-American fashion designer, philanthropist, and author who has dedicated her life to inspiring women. As founder of her eponymous brand and creator of the iconic wrap dress, Diane defined freedom for generations of women.
In 2010, she established The DVF Awards with the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation, to honor and support women who are tackling the worldâs most urgent issues. Diane received the Chevalier de la LĂŠgion DâHonneur from France in 2020, as well as the Commandeur de lâOrdre de la Couronne from her native Belgium in 2021.
Today, the DVF brand has become a global destination for women, celebrated for its bold approach to color, print, and effortless feminine silhouettes.
This time around, Brussels Airlines has teamed up with Diane von Furstenberg to create unique amenity kits in her signature prints for Business Class passengers on long-haul flights.
âGrowing up in Belgium, and flying alone very early, Brussels Airport is my first souvenir of being in charge. Packing light is living light and having the right organizers is key. If you know how to pack, you know how to live! Happy journey! Love Diane”, says Diane von Furstenberg.
The amenity kit comes in two shapes and two iconic DVF prints, Vintage Weave originally from 1973, and Ikat from the early 80s. In addition to the pouch itself, the kits also contain a DVF sleep mask and toiletries from Waterlâeau, a family-owned Belgian company, based in Antwerp.
âWe based the name of our brand Waterlâeau on one of Belgiumâs most famous towns, but we rewrote it using two of our national languages. On the other hand, our products were always inspired by the scents and colours of various waters of the world. This combination of having strong roots in Belgium, but having an open view to the world, is one of the reasons that we are so proud to be associated with Belgian icons Diane von Furstenberg and Brussels Airlines”, says Bram Lenders of Waterlâeau.
âDiane von Furstenberg is an icon around the world symbolizing luxury, Waterlâeau is a small-scale family-owned business. Combining these two brands with our amenity kit really showcases the best of Belgium in the most premium way. We are proud of this collaboration and are confident that our guests will enjoy the new amenity kits”, says Thibaut Dewilde, Head of Inflight Management, Brussels Airlines.
The new amenity kit will be on board in the course of November and is exclusively available for passengers traveling in Business Class on long-haul flights.
