2026 marks the nineteenth (19th) edition of Antwerp Pride. From Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August, Antwerp in Belgium will once again be taken over by rainbow vibes. Prides are a mix of celebration – parties – and activism and advocacy. For the 2026 edition, the organising committee focuses on fearing less and being fearless.
Antwerp Pride will host an open community meeting ahead of this year’s festival, inviting members of the LGBTQIA+ community to discuss resilience, safety and ask questions about the upcoming Pride celebrations.
The event takes place on Monday 3 August at 18:30 at Het Roze Huis and is open to everyone without registration.
Q&A and counter-protest training
The evening will begin with an open question-and-answer session where participants can discuss Antwerp Pride, safety and other issues related to the event.
Following the discussion, LGBTQIA+ advocacy organisation Çavaria will lead a training session on how to respond to counter-protests, including demonstrations by the far-right group Voorpost. The session is intended to help participants prepare for and respond to such protests in a constructive way.
Organisers say the meeting aims to strengthen the community by providing a space for dialogue, sharing experiences and building resilience ahead of Antwerp Pride.
The community meeting will take place at Het Roze Huis on Monday 3 August at 18:30. Attendance is free and no registration is required.
