ANTWERP PRIDE 2026 | Queer Families in Town on Friday 7 August at Sint-Andriesplaats

2026 marks the nineteenth (19th) edition of Antwerp Pride. From Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 August, Antwerp in Belgium will once again be taken over by rainbow vibes. Prides are a mix of celebration – parties – and activism and advocacy. For the 2026 edition, the organising committee focuses on fearing less and being fearless.

Antwerp Pride will once again put the spotlight on LGBTQIA+ families as Queer Families in Town returns on Friday 7 August, offering an afternoon of free entertainment and activities for children, parents and allies.

Following its successful debut, the event has become a regular part of the Antwerp Pride programme, providing a welcoming space for rainbow families and anyone looking for an inclusive and family-friendly Pride experience. The event will take place at Sint-Andriesplaats.

Entertainment for all ages

The programme combines entertainment with opportunities for families to meet and connect. Children will be able to enjoy a kids’ disco, storytelling sessions and a range of creative activities throughout the afternoon.

One of the main attractions will be a live appearance by children’s superhero Mega Mindy, while Belgian singer Bart Kaëll will close the event with a performance featuring many of his best-known songs.

Celebrating diversity and inclusion

Organisers say Queer Families in Town is intended as more than just an afternoon of entertainment. The event aims to create a space where LGBTQIA+ families can come together, share experiences and celebrate diversity in a safe and welcoming environment.

The initiative reflects Antwerp Pride’s wider focus on connection, visibility and inclusion. This year’s festival is being held under the theme ‘Fearless’, encouraging people not only to celebrate Pride but also to help shape an open and inclusive society.

Queer Families in Town takes place on Friday 7 August at Sint-Andriesplaats. Admission is free.
